Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam.
Representing TikTok Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh emphasized that TikTok Shop is determined to build and maintain an open and trustworthy shopping environment where consumers not only enjoy a joyful shopping experience but also feel secure in every decision. Mr. Thanh affirmed that the goal of "Safe and Happy Shopping" in the digital environment cannot be built from one side alone. Therefore, TikTok Shop calls for the collaboration of influencers, content creators, and sellers to create and share short videos with the hashtags #SafeAndHappyShopping #ProudOfVietnameseProducts and #OnlineFriday, aiming to help consumers choose high-quality goods, raise awareness of their rights when shopping online, and encourage sellers and creators to adhere to standards of transparency and responsibility.
Mr. Thanh added that sellers and content creators on TikTok Shop are eagerly anticipating Vietnam E-commerce Week 2025, viewing it as a celebration for the domestic e-commerce community. Based on this, TikTok Shop aims to achieve 1 billion views for content related to E-commerce Week created by the community of creators and sellers, thereby driving hundreds of thousands of orders throughout the event.
Mr. Phan Manh Ha, Director of External Relations at Shopee, stated that within the framework of Online Friday 2025, the platform has intensified various programs to enhance user experience, including the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to suggest products better suited to individual needs, and interactive livestreaming features that allow buyers to communicate directly with sellers and learn about product details before making a purchase. Alongside optimizing the user experience, Shopee focuses on controlling the quality of goods and promotional information. The platform is strengthening its system for identifying infringing and counterfeit products based on machine learning technology, and is working closely with legitimate brands and authorities to strictly handle violating vendors and protect consumer rights to the fullest extent. According to Shopee representatives, to ensure a seamless shopping experience during peak periods, Shopee has also collaborated with major payment and logistics partners to speed up order processing and shorten delivery times.
Continuing the role of digital platforms, Vietnamese manufacturing and brand businesses are also leveraging Online Friday to promote digital transformation and business transparency. Mr. Nguyen Van Luyen, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Chemical Corporation, stated that through the Vinachemmart e-commerce platform – an officially sponsored online trading platform – products from national brands that have been associated with Vietnamese people for decades, manufactured by state-owned enterprises under Vinachem, are directly introduced to consumers nationwide. This method ensures clear origin, high quality, and reasonable prices, helping consumers prevent counterfeit and substandard goods, thereby strengthening confidence in Vietnamese products and encouraging the consumption of genuine, safe products.
From the perspective of consumer goods and healthcare businesses, Ms. Ngo Ngoc Anh, Marketing Director of Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company, believes that Online Friday is an important channel to strengthen digital trust among shoppers in the context of rapidly developing e-commerce, which also carries risks of counterfeit goods, imitation products, and brand abuse. Participating in the program is also an opportunity for Sao Thai Duong to promote smart consumption, encourage people to choose genuine products from verified channels, and contribute to building a safe, transparent, and positive e-commerce environment for the community.
