E-commerce has opened up flexible and diverse business opportunities, creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses in general and Bac Lieu businesses in particular to bring their distinctive products to consumers, contributing to the economic development of the locality as well as the country.
In Bac Lieu, e-commerce has been experiencing vibrant growth in recent years, especially in 2024. The implementation of measures to stimulate consumer demand and policies to support businesses has created favorable conditions for the development of the goods market and e-commerce. Total retail sales of goods and services in Bac Lieu are projected to reach VND 81,230 billion by the end of 2024, an increase of 7.6% compared to the previous year.
Contributing to this growth, the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in leadership, guidance, and focused implementation of policies supporting businesses, especially in e-commerce and digital technology applications, must be acknowledged.

Ms. Phan Thi Thu Oanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Lieu province, stated that e-commerce in Vietnam is facing numerous challenges. Specifically, consumers are facing the risk of personal data insecurity; the misuse of e-commerce for fraud and property theft; and the problem of counterfeit, fake, and substandard goods entering the Vietnamese market through e-commerce... all of which have affected people's lives and the production and business activities of enterprises in the country, including Bac Lieu.

To provide basic information about e-commerce and enhance e-commerce application skills in management and business, from May 21 to 23, 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Lieu province, in coordination with the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade) - eComDX, will organize a training conference on "Enhancing the Capacity of State Management Officials in E-commerce in 2025" in Bac Lieu province.

The training conference lasted three days, with one day dedicated to government officials and two days to businesses and cooperatives. The organizing committee developed appropriate training content for different target groups, ensuring practicality, effectiveness, and achievement of the set objectives.
For state management officials and teaching staff at political schools, universities, and colleges in the province, the training focuses on updating the current state of e-commerce in Vietnam and future e-commerce trends, as well as identifying some violations and handling administrative violations in e-commerce according to current regulations, and the procedures for inspection, examination, and handling violations in the field of e-commerce.
For businesses, the presenters focused on guiding them through topics such as "Writing articles, creating content, and managing multiple channels with AI support" and "Designing images, videos, and audio for communication and sales." These will be foundational knowledge areas for businesses to quickly update and adapt to current trends.
At the end of each training session, the presenters took the time to answer questions, helping participants gain a clearer and deeper understanding of the topics covered. The questions and concerns raised by the participants, along with the presenters' answers and guidance, demonstrated the positive interaction and effectiveness of the training program.
